Mission Ready is not your common aviation book, showing aircraft photos page after page on glossy paper. Instead, Mission Ready is a full size art book printed on premium matte paper. The “subdued” feel of the book, the layout of text and photos, the white “pause” pages, the typography, and the sleek no-text slipcase are all part of the design and the experience.
Since its launch, Mission Ready is recognized by creative professionals around the world and has won several awards. During the 2022 International Photography Awards (IPA), one of the most appreciated photography competitions, the book received an Honorable Mention in the category “Documentary Books”, an Honorable Mention in the category “Self published Books”, and an Honorable Mention in the category “People/Portraits”. It was also part of the “Jury Top-5 Selection”. More recently, Mission Ready received the Award of Excellence trophy at the Communication Arts 2023 Photography Annual.
